Becoming a Trauma Competent Caregiver
Mon-Tues, September 7th-8th: 9:00am - 5:00pmMoving from being consciously compassionate to competently compassionate is the heartbeat of the Trauma Competent Caregiver training curriculum. This training series is evidenced-based and rooted in a biblical foundation. It is designed to equip those involved in caring for orphaned and vulnerable children with the knowledge and skills God uses to help wounded children heal and grow into what they were created to be.During this two-day workshop, you will hear from the Back2Back Ministries Child Development Team on trauma informed care. This two-day version provides an overview of eight of the nine modules that are part of the TCC curriculum. Module nine on self-care is not included in these two days.

Organizations that currently provide residential care, such as orphanages and children’s homes, are often well-positioned to reshape their programs to support care for children within families. This full-day workshop offers the opportunity to walk through the steps of this process using a fictional case study and interactive small group discussion.
